Metzger Endorses Bustamante
This is just too good to be true. Or it’s a joke. Or it’s a stunningly devious reverse tactic designed to steer votes away from Bustamante to Schwarzenegger, the latter’s German name likely producing visions of a reborn Reich in Über-Aryan Tom Metzger’s pinhead. (Shhh!!! Don’t tell him Arnold likes Jews!!!)
Or maybe it can be taken at face value. According to the article, Tom Metzger is willing to bond—temporarily I assume—with any group that espouses separation of the races.
Metzger noted that he has met with other non-white racial separatist groups in the past including the Black Panthers and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
I wonder if Bustamante will acknowledge the endorsement or repudiate it. What to do, what to do? If he repudiates it, critics will ask why he won’t repudiate the similarly-goaled MEChA as well. If he embraces it, all Hades will break loose just like it did when he mistakenly uttered the n-word…oh, never mind.
He’ll probably ignore it unless one of the major news agencies brings it to his attention. Figure the odds on that happening.

Hmmmm, maybe you should point this out to White Glenn, he might be able to give this issue the traction that it so richly deserves...

This whole MECHa issue is such a non-story. You really, really, really need to read this.

Walter: Interesting article. So maybe Metzger is misinterpreting MEChA's goals as well?

Actually, what you "really, really, really" need to read is this, in which Juan Non-Volokh demonstrates just how sloppy Barlow is in his attempted debunking of what is, indeed, a story worth pursuing.
