How do you hold your liquor (drinker)? Tie him to a chair.
A drunken Austrian citizen, after charging the cockpit on flight from Mexico City to Paris, is subdued with belts and stockings by his fellow passengers. The pilot makes an emergency landing at JFK. Minutes after the landing, the Austrian is mysteriously dead. Schade (too bad). (According to the article he may have been injected with a sedative.)
A couple of years before the 9/11 attacks, I remember hearing a similar story of an unruly airline passenger who tried to open the fuselage door. His fellow passengers sat on him and ended up suffocating him. I happened to be in a military class, when my classmates and I heard the story on the TV news during a break. One of our dimmer classmates exclaimed upon hearing this story: “They violated his civil rights!” One of our less dim classmates responded with this: “That b******’s civil rights to breathe ended at the point where everyone else’s civil rights to land breathing began!”
I’m betting the alcohol, plus the sedative, plus the likely beat down the Austrian guy received did him in. Guess the nuts and the terrorists will have to find another angle.
