"Come on, Scott, say it!"
It’s tedious to watch reporters attempt to get White House spokesman Scott McClellan to condemn Israel for taking out Hamas leader Sheikh Yassin. They ask the same questions, worded differently each time, in an attempt to yank it out of him. In response, he gives the same answers, tonelessly and unperturbedly. I got tired of staying around to see if they were successful.
Ari would have at least had a deftly-aimed verbal shot to give them, delivered while smiling charmingly. I miss that.

Get the feeling Sam Kinnison would have had fun at that briefing?

My favorite part of all those Ari press conferences was the inevitable moment when security had to wrestle Helen Thomas to the floor, foam rolling from her flapping mandible.

Sigh...I miss Ari's missile attacks on the White House press corps--the pen ("Bullseye!"), the GameBoy, etc. Good times.
