You know the rest.
You know what? I’ll never understand blog-visitors who feel the need to “front” a blogger: tell them in their comments what a waste of time visiting their site is. I’ve seen it all over the place since I started blogging. No, I’m not referring to the recent mass-delinking of a certain well-trafficked site, but just in general.
Read this over at Val Prieto’s, from someone who didn’t like the way Val handled one of his trolls: Well, I'll let you get back to screaming and calling people names. I have to get to work now.
This was from a Man, Baby. Sort of had a whiny feel to it, don’t you think? (Few things nauseate me more that a man whining, but anyone whining will basically bring up postal feelings in me. Relax. Some of us don’t act upon every little impulse we have, no matter how much fun we think it might be to do so.)
Was this necessary? Is the attempt to make a blogger feel that his/her words are trivial compared to a reader’s “work” some sort of ego gratification (blogger down, reader up)?
Make your case, finish, then leave (or stay) and spare the world your nose firmly pointed in the air signifying your distaste.
I’d like to thank the majority of my contrarians for following this rule without being asked.
