Don’t know if it’s true. (It is Drudge, after all.) But if Former President William J. Clinton really is miffed that he isn’t on the speakers’ list to eulogize Former President Ronald Reagan, then all I can say is “wow!”
I’ve excoriated Former President Clinton for a lot of things, but not being canny enough to know when to shut his trap was never one of them. Certainly, he’s narcissistic enough to have this feeling, but I don’t think that he’s stupid enough to voice it in non-trusted company. Then again, I wonder how many loyal friends/associates the former president actually does have.
If he actually did say this, only one person could have heard it and leaked it: Senator Hillary Clinton. She’d leak such a thing out of spite. He might have ticked her off (yet again).
It’s a sad state of affairs when you can’t trust your spouse. Oh, wait…never mind. :-)
Seriously, I doubt the veracity of this one. But, as I said, it is Drudge, after all, so you never know until you know.
