You felt that? I'm shaking like a leaf! That felt close. There was one at noon or so in Moreno Valley.

it was 5.3 in Yucaipa.

To have the earth under your feet violently heave at a moments notice must inspire an awful gut wrenching feeling in even the strongest person. I can only imagine having lived all my life on the East Coast where all our natural disasters are weather related and man-made technology usually offers us adequate fair warning. The only event I experienced that might compare to an earthquake was when a nearby chemical tank farm exploded, burned and gassed my neighborhood. I developed a bad case of PTSD as a result. I can only imagine what you folks are going through and my heart goes out to you. There will be people who will downplay the event, even joke about it. It's the way people cope with their fear, uncertainty and ignorance so you should resist the urge to choke the life out of them, they're either mad with fear or know no better. Much love, many prayers and tears for all the people affected by this recent spate of seismic events in California. Wish I could do more to ease your worries.

Relax, torchy. When you grow up with quakes, you get used them, mostly. (You would *hate* Japan; earthquake once a month or better.)
