Fun While It Lasted
The Republican mirth consistently inspired by the Democratic National Committee Chairman may be coming to an end. The Democrats are starting to notice what a liability Howard Dean is to their aims.
Democrats Joseph Biden and John Edwards are criticizing party chairman Howard Dean, saying his rhetorical attacks on Republicans have gone too far.One of Governor Dean’s roles as DNC Chairman is to be the spokesman for the Democrat Party. Perhaps Senator Edwards means that he wishes that Howard Dean were not the spokesman for the party.Dean has said Republicans never made an honest living in their lives and House Majority Leader Tom DeLay ought to go back to Houston where he can serve his jail sentence. DeLay has not been accused of any crime.
Dean "doesn't speak for me with that kind of rhetoric and I don't think he speaks for the majority of Democrats," Biden, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Sunday on ABC's "This Week." [SNIP]
Responding to Dean's initial remark, Edwards said Dean "is not the spokesman for the party."
I suspect that we won’t have Mr. Dean to point at and laugh at for much longer.
(Thanks to LGF)

B ... bu ... but MoveOn.org bought it, paid for it and now consider the Dem party to be theirs. Dean is an example of the thinking of this organization.
I see groups like MoveOn driving the bus over the cliff.
Moderates like Joe Lieberman are silenced and shuffled to the sidelines when they could actually have won an election.
The suicide spiral will continue. Let's hope it crashes soon and that reasonable people can form something like the party of Harry Truman again.

Hillary's stepping enthusiastically into the role, combining Dean and Kerry (NY Times, free registration required or use bugmenot.com).
What planet is she living on???????I had been thinking that she and Bill were letting the crazies rant (and possibly subtly encouraging them behind the scenes) so that she could come in as the voice of reason. Another theory shot to hell.

"Let's hope it crashes soon"
Yeah, before the Republicans manage to shoot themselves in the foot again.
And I would LOVE it if they could become the party of Harry Truman again.

Hill commenting about the truth!?!?! To paraphrase a famous Jack Nicholson line--she can't handle the truth!!!! Three top democrazy fund raisers have resigned. I'd say Dean will be a practicing MD again soon. Wonder how his wife will feel about having him home all the time?

Gerry,
I saw that quote and thought it said "white Christmas party". It conjured up such a pretty picture I thought it was a compliment/moment of sanity out of Dean for a change.
The ugly reality was a sucker punch. I'm doubley offended. And embarrassed.
I'll just say Fatuous nincomPOOP! to relieve my feelings.

Well, Skinner, I still have a Spiro Agnew watch in a drawer somewhere. He caught a lot of flack before he got indicted for some shenanigans from his time as governor of Maryland.

I don't think we've seen the worst yet, if ever. The Democratic leadership are still working on their permanent role as minority opposition, lauched in 2001, and quickly approaching cultural status. I'm still not surprised, or disheartened by their behavior, must be my elephantine hide.

Hillary accuses the whole party of being unacquated with the truth . This is not the Hillary I Knew when we ascended the top of Mt. Everest with her aged godfather SIR HILLARY. He was named after Hillary RODHAM CLINTON , Prior to her birth , and Before she became the first woman to climb Everest In attractive tennis shorts and a BRIGHT BLUE BLAZER . SHE was born in Newyork and is a fan or th Mets -yankee baseball club
Her daughter almost died during 9,11 and might have been the main target When she was half way up Everest she declared " WHERES THE VILLAGE ?? Which later became " IT TAKES A VILLAGE " Which is now a Household Phrase and was even a puzzle on The wheel of fortune {her favorite news program } Her husband was even a former president of America once and plays the Clarinet . They are diveded between her responsibilitys of saving drowned people all over the world and chasing camera men away . Sometimes for 4 or 5 blocks. They are true DEMOCRATS
