I think that Durbin is making the same mistake the Democrats made with Kerry - they are underestimating the military/veteran voting block. Illinois has many National Guardsmen and Reservists deployed (or just returned from deployment).And/or Durbin thinks we’re all idiots who can’t read or think and who watch cartoons on TV all day rather than the news or CSPAN. Or surf the Internet for pr0n instead of reportage and opinion. Others have recently made this mistake with spectacularly devastating results.
