It's a disaster like this that makes me wish that I had a useful skill like masonry or roofing or electrical; or even something yucky like exterminating rats or reds ants or water mocassins. Such delightful creatures will be ruling the Gulf Coast when the waters recede.

If anyone knows of a group of people with the above skills who are volunteering their services down South, please post their info here. Such a group could certainly use support.

My brother and I are contacting some local electricians to offer help down South. My younger brother is a master electrician while I'm an apprentice (under him). Hopefully we can get a crew and head on down. If not, we going down anyways. I'll keep ya posted.

T: make sure you guys co-ordinate with FEMA or someone like that. Don't become casualties yourselves.
