Dean Short on Green

If this is true, then Howard’s days are numbered. From Drudge:

Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill are privately bristling over Howard Dean’s management of the Democratic National Committee and have made those sentiments clear after new fundraising numbers showed he has spent nearly all the committee’s cash and has little left to support their efforts to gain seats this cycle, ROLL CALL reports.

Congressional leaders were furious last week when they learned the DNC has just $5.5 million in the bank, compared to the Republican National Committee’s $34 million.

$5.5 million??!!!! Ted Kennedy has that in his wallet. And John Kerry has that in his purse…er Teresa’s purse.

Maybe Howard can get the congressional Democrats to fork over a little bit of those Abramoff-tainted monies (from Indian tribes) that Howard says that no Democrats actually took.

UPDATE: My token, brave and perennial liberal commenter, Justin, notes that no Democrats accepted any money from Jack Abramoff personally. That's true. As an avowed Republican Jack Abramoff never donated any of his personal money to a Democrat.

But it isn't that money which is in question or is material in Abramoff's indictments.

However, Howard Dean's statement that no Democrat took money from the individual citizen Jack Abramoff is true. Take it for what it is worth in the scheme of this Republican scandal.

BTW, Democrats, Liberals and/or Leftists, where are the rest of you (commenting here) and why aren't you filling up the Democrat coffers?
