Um, WIN for $600, Alex? (T)

The left blackballs the Black Caucus

...it's clear from the Black Caucus episode that this isn't really about Fox. This is about who runs the Democratic Party. Ever since they came close to nominating Howard Dean for President in 2004, left-wing Web activists have tried to punish any Democrat who dares to step out of line....

....The Black Caucus has a different agenda, which is to win elections and hold the Democratic majority in Congress.

Purity takes on pragmatism. The real loser will likely be the party.

I think they are dumb for doing so and are punks for doing it.

But if it is a power play, good for them! It's about time they grew a pair!

I don't see why it's dumb, Ed. Affirmative measures taken to get ones message out to those who may not subscribe to it is an intelligent move--and, as you say, a brave one. At least it's an opportunity to clear up misconceptions--or confirm notions already held.

I haven't been paying attention, so I don't know whether the CBC will stick to its commitment in the face of being insulted by its ideological comrades. I hope they do. It would make the second time its members will have surprised me in this short period of time and I like being surprised like this.

Hmmm....

I wasn't clear.

It think it is dumb of those who are pulling out of the Fox News debate. I think you show backbone and go into hostile areas and meet them head on. For that reason, I think the CBCI did the right thing to go in front of a hostile audience.

I think it is dumb for Dems activists to turn their ire towards the CBCI. If the CBCI did it for a power play. Good! They need to show they are to be respected.

Okay, I get it now. :-)
