Eliot Spitzer stops dragging it out. His resignation is effective on Monday, March 17, 2008. New York's Lt. Governor David Paterson will take over the job. Will the latter be the first blind governor ever?
UPDATE: Oh yeah. David Paterson also happens to be black. MSNBC points out that, upon his ascendancy to the New York state house, Paterson will be the fourth black American to ever sit in the executive seat of a state. (Only one was a Republican.) Also included is a mini political bio on the governor-to-be.
