I once had an amusing email exchange with Mr. Ferrigno about a fun article he wrote for National Review Online. Since then I suppose that I've been on his mailing list because I received notice from him that his Heart of the Assassin came out to favorable reviews last month. However, since I hadn't read Prayers yet (which came highly recommended), I figured that I'd start at the beginning.
What's the the series about? Let's just say that a lot of disbelief must be suspended--and I don't mean that the plot, set in the future, is implausible. Thing is, without faith, it's all too plausible.
