It's curious that President Obama's two most public representatives, Gibbs and Vice President Joseph Biden, seem so--how to put this gently--dim. Gibbs' mental deficiencies are particularly vexing (and, ironically, funny) because they are joined with sneering condescension in the same small space. He thinks he's smarter than anyone interviewing him and he unfailingly attempts to prove it--to show that interviewer who his/her intellectual better is.
But every time Gibbs tries this, he ends up looking all the dimmer for it. Who didn't know that Carlson was going to put Gibbs in his place when he attempted to interview her? (And don't you just love trying to have a conversation with a person who throws up the "playing games" smoke screen when they are trying to avoid answering a question honestly?)
I feel sorry for Robert Gibbs; but if I had to interview the guy, it's probable that my sympathy level would be much lower. Look at the expression on Carlson's face! Not a drop of sympathy for the learning disabled.
